My Maxtors have always been good to me, can't say the same about WD... had too many fail on me. Including a raptor in a Xeon I built for a customer. So I swapped it out and RMA'd it, then put 2x 200GB 16MB Cache Maxtors in RAID 0.

Much faster than a single raptor, and obviously more capacity.
