They were using the Old ATi drivers, and using they were not using the ATi FEAR Fix.
Which is why it looks so bad. The only sight to do an apples to apples comparison was driverheaven. And their review showed the ATi X1800XT in the lead in a couple, and losing by less than 10 frames in a couple.
