Don't get a head spacer... it positions the head farther up from the top of the cylinder block (obviously), which increases the distance between the top of the piston and the squish area in the combustion chamber (the flat spot). This reduces power because you'll be getting a slower, more incomplete burn as a result of the lack of "squish" The combustion chamber is designed with this squish area to force air/fuel towards the igntion source (spark plug). A better idea would be to learn how to tune for a higher compression engine... a higher compression engine will always have better off-boost performance and fuel economy, so I think it's a good idea to leave it alone.
