Well blew the head gasket on my TSi sky high! LOL I think there was a problem with it before I got it. Anyway once I got the head off you could see the metal ring on the gasket that goes around the pistons was split right in half.

I removed a lot of stuff that won't be going back into the car once I have the rebuild done. Entire AC system is gone... everything. lots of heat shields and other mounting brakes that arn't really needed. I am also going to paint all that crappy rusty stuff.
To my suprise the pistons where amazingly clean for a 14 year old car.



Well I'll be getting some new rings and more goodies and cleaning the block. I am pretty happy with the internal condition of the motor. So I'll post more pictures as soon as I get the pistons out and some new stuff in.
