we have it like that on our race car.. no concerns with the tire.. as long as it sticking out a little further then the car, it souldn't be a problem. the only concern cops will give you is the fact that fumes may enter the car if its not out the back..
cops are cops, if they are in a bad mood, they will get you for anything they see fit.
