to strip a block down totally.. block, head and all.. i could do it in no time. taking it apart is faster then putting it together.. The thing is, you have to have a good memory and remember where everything goes. And i mean everything.
you will need special tools for doing certain things.. like if you want to remove valves and crap, there is a spring compressor to get..
and for putting it back together, a torque wrench will be one of your best tools.
there are so many steps, and so many tips we can give you.. it all takes time. the best thing to do would be start working on it and ask questions as you go.. i could help ya from there.
