On a mountain bike, hitting the brakes won't do anything, because the tires and wheels don't weigh as much as a dirt bike's wheels. The dirt bikes in air attitude can be changed through the centrifugal force created by the wheels. Unfortunatley you can't reproduce that on a bike. You just have to do it with your shoulders or hips. The very reason that I can't go off road with my Fiori mountain bike anymore my wrists and knees, and elbows, and ankles etc, get sore just watching that. Mostly because I remember doing stupid sh!t almost that stupid when I was younger.
