i work for air canada in the cargo building. we heard 3 'explosions' after touchdown, no thrust reversers. he got the engines back up and hit the reversers so hard we felt the ground shaking. they normally use 80% throttle during a landing, we heard 'popping' which is a sign that he was at full(106%) throttle..the front landing gear collaped from the extreme reverse thrust..300 tons, 200 km/h...200 ft to stop, imagine the reverse G's you would feel.. you do the math..
regardless, glad to see nobody died.
