yea, its all the same with some added sections, some added sponsors and a new title. Its alot easier to make money without the concern of the site name. site is pretty slick, but officially TSR (toronto street racing) is dead.
Anyways, even we offer other skin choices. Click here to change your visual options. Just scroll down to " Miscellaneous Options" and under "Forum Skin" change it and click save changes.
Did you even look at the forums? It's all of TSR's threads, just on a different page.
Umm, yes I did. Its not hard to change the database from one site to another. Just have the same threads doesn't mean the same site. Same site would mean it would still have the same URL. You need to learn the difference between a site and a page.Torontostreetracing.com is gone, its dead. The twit bought the site and name so he could better enhance gtcars site. Think about it, TSR was one on the hottest car sites around. So they bought, now they own the site, name and database, they can do what ever they felt like with it. In this case, merged it with another site that had no or little traffic to it. They could have left the site name as it was and then implemented the changes. There problem was, they didnt want to be assoiciated with streetracing.
Well, I've read a lot of the posts here and it seems 1320 has kept a small but core group dedicated to staying together which is great. I'm not sure what the animosity is between our people is though, why is it we're happy to see ************* prosper but nobody wants to give us a chance with our changes?
Also rick, we wouldn't sell our email db out. That makes no sense to me. And remembering our discussions on the phone, you seemed a little more supportive then compared to now but whatever.
We're working to make our site grow into a community that has a significant impact and userbase on Toronto's car community. Good luck with your forums as we all progress into the future.
Hard to make money that way..with a name like Toronto Street Racing
Make money, if you want to make money, they don't get into a car site. To make money, you need to buy a porn site. I know alot of people have big expectation for a website. Seeing it can cost some people over $2400/yr to run one. But the best ways for making money is banner exchanges, site advertising and google ads.
i am not interested in making money, since i am part of the racing community i like to give back, i say racing comunity because i rarely go to show and shine events, that not my thing but if that is yours be my guest, i like racing be it drag, street, even cart and formula 1.
i made this site just because i know alot of people and i think they need a place that is racer friendly, be it domestic or import, and for the people that really know me, they know i own a honda, but i have been racing for a long time and i have owned everything from fords to mazda's, i am not a "nerdy" internet guy, i am a mechanic and like to get my hands dirty, but with the help of the racing comunity and some friends i hope to make this site as big or even bigger than tsr once was, once some of my friends in the states get commin on here i want to try to get this more international. this place will only get as good as the users want it to be..and i hope with our efforts this will be everyones place to surf......
