Don't know if anyone here cares, but I just heard on 102.1 that Eric Lindros has been signed by the Maple Leafs.

I think it was a stupid move.

This is gonna be exactly like Doug Gilmore's highly anticipated return to the Make-me-Laughs in which he lasted what, 4 minutes before getting hit once and going out injured. Put this into Lindros-context and you have a guy who's last claim to fame was getting his ass kicked by Elvis Stojko(sp?).

Yea, lets look at the Make-me-Laughs allstar lineup:

Tie Domi - whoa, look out!
Jason Allison - "Hey guys, I haven't played a game in 2 ****ing years!"
Eric Lindros - "Everytime I get hit, I get a concussion!"
Matts Sundin(did they even re-sign him?) - "Chunky Soup"
Owen Nolan - "Hi, I'm INJURED!"
Random Euro
Random Euro
Random Euro
Random Canadian
Random Euro
etc
etc.

God hopes they sign back Moguilny the only player worth anything on that team besides Sundin.

I'm a fan of this pile-of-shit team only because who else can you watch unless you wanna wait for a decent Canadian team to come on at 10:30 (Calgary, Vancouver) in which, to be honest, the mood is sorta toned down and well, it's 10:30. Too bad they sell out every night or maybe they'd actually bring in decent players to bring in crowds again.

To end, this is the team that was actually taking orders from Tie Domi..

He got 1.55 million, for one year. There is no bonuses in his contract.
Lindros seems like he wants to prove that he is not made of egg shells. I hope he puts in a good effort, then it won't seem bad to have him.

Well, its too bad hes got shit for brains. Otherwise hed be a real menace but its like hes got slush up there. Oh well, i still dont see a cup in the near future.

Toronto will never win a cup. They don't need to and the brass will never do it. The air canada center is packed every night anyway, so what will they gain? Shit if they win a cup the beer sales will drop. And Lindros has everything to prove to everyone. He's been in the NHL 10 years, and hasn't done shit execpt piss everyone in Quebec off at him. Shit I wasn't even a Nordiques fan and I was pissed. I threw out my Lindros team canada jersey when he refues to sign, and don't regret it now. I hope he gets another hit from Neidermeyer. Then he can join his brother in the sports anchor area.
