Oh man..we filled up last night at 102.1...incredible. I was shocked because I just didn't think we'd hit that high that quick.
My buddy was telling Canada recently discovered a mass oil deposit out in Alberta(yea, I know there are tons) that is supposed to provide some ridiculous amount of oil for the next 50 years. Can anyone clarify that? (I know, I know I should look it up but I figure someone here would know and it provides grounds for discussion).
Alberta's three oil sand deposits — Athabasca, Cold Lake, and Peace River — contain resources that could supply Canada's energy needs for more than 475 years, or total world needs for up to 15 years. The production potential of all the oil sand deposits could be as high as 2.5 trillion barrels of bitumen (five times more than the conventional oil reserves in Saudi Arabia). The Athabasca deposit is twice the size of Lake Ontario.
^ I bet that oil is going to good ol george Dubya, just like our electricity. If not he'll invade us in time and take it.
Then the US will resell it back to Canada for double the price.

We went out looking at new minivans and our 1989 Grand Voyager gets better mileage than any new van. Including the new 4 cyl MPV. WTF is up with that? I guess that means it's staying.

Yeah our van is a V6. But I've got thinner head gaskets, and the timing has been played with, so I don't need to push down on the gas. Gets almost 40 mpg highway at 110km/h. Unfortunately that's not my rabbit, but mine looks identical to that, but it's flat black. I was going to paint mine that colour, but I saw a flat black rabbit pickup at a show, and then well... BTW that rabbit has a 1.8l 8v with 2 weber carbs. Almost as fast as my 2l 16v turbo. Beautiful car. Here is a full pic. The only difference between this one and mine is the colour, and I've got 15" wheels. I love the little rear wing, and have replaced the one some asshole stole off of mine at a show.
