Well mine is........ in order to claim a record in Canada it has to be recorded in Canada and on an Event... so to me Paul still holds the Record

if there were both at the same track in the U.S. when one of them set the record, then tough luck. Even though i dont agree that the record has to be set in the country that the shop resides in.....

Of course splitfire would deny it, theyve been losing a lot lately.. no more sponsor and what, no more record?

When you're on top, no where to go but down I havent seen SMP run, but man, Splitfire is fast

Anyways, to be Canadas fastest can be done anywhere, U.S. or CAN.

But to have the fastest records in Canada for racing on Canadian soil would have to be done there (canada).

Here's what I think as to why everyone is talking smack, SMP breaks all the "rules":
Car is a Turbo Dodge with old tech, and has nothing to do with an SRT-4.
Its not a factory backed car either or an import with a huge following.
Car was built and campaigned just by SMP until recently, even now on a certain turbo dodge forum you can even personally donate to the race car fund.
He is using a production head/block and transmission.
Runs 35psi of boost.

He is the first in the 9's and 8's in the Turbo Dodge world and is soon making a lot his tech available via FWDPerformance along with his rough recipes for making huge power.

i dont think that pauls 8.52 pass was done in canada, pretty sure it was recent in ohio, was it not?
