So, we could steal your buddies vega and you could do **** all about it. cause i could disasemble that shit in a couple hours, take pics and say heres proof i built it.
Close, but you would still have to show some sort of proof that you had made a legit purchase of the parts. Now most of the parts on the car are not unique and can be purchased anywhere. Now for the body, chassis most stuff connected to it is unique and there are no others like it. You can remove a door off of it, repait it and 4 years down the road I could still tell it was mine. There are certain things on it that others may over look and leave it alone thinking no one would reconise it. Think of it this way, let take a dog for example, you can take 2 identical dogs put them side by side and you still could tell which one was yours as you lived with it. Even though both have identical markings and what not. There wil always be something that is unique that one has and the other doesn't.

Vegas rolled off an assembly line, and were all a piece of wood. And motors are available anywhere. Ever heard of:
"Sorry officer, I had no idea some dumbass would try to claim my car as his, so I didn't keep all my receipts. I don't know what happened to the ownership, the cars not street legal so I didn't think to keep it. But I can sell you a 10 sec civic cheap."?
That's the line we'll use when we part out your "buddies" one in a billion vega.
Kit Cars dont have VIN's U have to go to MTO and submit your paper work to get one.
If u say have a 95 Kit and u finsh it in 2005 your ownership will have 2005 kit car,
Now they dont do this for race cars. But a race car can have a VIN that ideatifies the owner and car to each other. But its not the same as what MTO would be using.
One old debat use to be what is a street car and what is a race car.
One guy would say Look its still plated and has a VIN and is regestered,
Other guy would go ya but frame is a tube now its tubbed has a cage none of floors are there now its all sheetmettle its a race car,
But it has mufflers so its a street car.

Same debate realy
geez you guys are too much ....
i agree that theyre not the same kind of "VIN" but its still a "VIN" nonetheless
your a hillbilly....please just shut the FU<K up!!! so ESSENTIALLY....teh number stamped on the car is what ??? come on ...come on ...you can say it a
Vehicle identification number
go back to your barn get out your cattle prod and tag up some cows!!!
just cuz the "number" on a race car doesnt have the same characteristics as a OEM's actual VIN doesnt mean that its still not a
Vehicle identification number
you and randy need to both realize this
I guess you have no clue at all now do you. Like I said, go and look at a real drag car, one that was never intended for the street. There will be no numbers on it. It will not have a chassis number, it will not have an engine number, it will not have a body number.

so if i come back from the NDRA this weekend after taking a picture of my friend Don Nase's rail car and is "VIN" will you shut the **** up???
