not tell us...thats the best thing you have ever said!!! i just wish you would use that way of thinking all the time and just "not tell us"
The Vega and a 81 lemans. said that over a month ago in another post. Thats right, you still think I don't own the car. So get over it, and further more, track cars don't have ownerships.
ts actually not abad idea to register the car in your name so if anything happens, say while pulling it on the trailer to the track, you don't have any hassles from cops thinking its stolen and what not.
Never seen a Top fuel with a Vin
Never seen a funny car with a Vin
Come to think about it never seen a doorslamer with a Vin
Most tubed out tube frame cars that i have seen that were track only didn't have a Vin.
Hey Tone did mels honda have a vin?
Any nascar car have Vins?
These people seem to not have a prob with cops and gettingthere cars off a trailer?
And why did you edit you'r timeslip entry to be #1 again?
Not all, but If you don't have a VIN, you can't register it. And technically, ownership and Vin is only need if the vehicle is being driven on the street.
The edit was to reflect the new times the car does now with the rebuilt motor in it.Along with various other new stuff added to the car. It will be back at the track again soon to see what it will do with a 100 shot on it. We are hoping it will break into the 9's this time. So, we will be happy to get a 9.99 this year.
before you ask about the Lemas, the motor blew on it before we even installed a turbo to it. So I am still looking to see if I want to keep the 3.8 in it or go to a V8 set up. So you know why the 3.8 blew, it was because it had 400,000 km's.

Something else to debate?
wow...you are a newb ...of course they have some kind of vin number...your telling me that if a top fuel car or a nascar foes missing that it...it just goes missing??? come on ...think about it!!! those cars may not be insured on the track but there for sure insured in general...and if for some reason a car was to go missing how do you think they would write up a clam??? fast 2 door tude chassis car goes missing....NO thy would identify the car by the number it has stamped into the chassis!!!
think about it ....seriously! just cuzyou have never seen one doesnt mean theyre not on the car!!!

I see you are an idiot and have never looked at a race car before. I know for a fact that cars in the cascar circuit do not have and type numbers to show owner ship. They are all custom built frames, bodies and what not. All a vin is for, and you can look it up if you like, is to identify the vehicle, give build dates, options, color, motor, etc. It is then used for identifing who owns it when its legal for the road. If a vehicle is not going to be driven on the road, it does not need any vehicle ident number.
Now, hhow would someone prove its their vehicle with no Vin, pictures, the same way the insurance companies do it for the other track cars. Along with the other little things that you add to the car to make you like.
Further more, did you just fall off the tur*** truck yesterday or something. This is not a show and shine car. It doesn't really drive on the streets. Every cop in Ontario knows this car. And if it does get stolen, the only thing it would be good for would be parts. This car is unique, almost like a one of a kind and I could spot if, even if painted and changed alot of parts on it.
I will tell you what, next time the Indy is here, go over to the pits and ask them to see a vin or an ownership. If they say there isn't one, then ask them how they could identify it if it was stolen.

i have been around more pro drag cars in the last 4 years then you have in your usless life! fact
you are a redneck!!! when a chassis builder builds a car he numbers his chassis!!! dumb sh!t that in its self is a VIN as long as there is a number on the frame and the builder documents its as such then that is classified as a VIN...go hump a cow hillbilly!!! use your head

They would tell you it's LOLA chassis number XXXX-XXXX and Lola would have all the chassis numbers on file.
