yeah one of those calculators said I had 525RWHP when I went 12.0@3700LBS

When I clearly had about 300WHP.

Yah the calculators can use a 10% to 20% loss or more through the drivetrain to estimate the rwhp figures...this is why you see the variance in different calcs.

whatever, we know its not his car

but why anyone wouldnt utilize a tuning tool like a dyno is .. well ..dumb

Yeah I'm not going to dyno my VR6 at all. I'm just going to guess that it has about 400 hp. Or maybe a little more. After all it's only 2.8l. With 30 psi. And 288/298 cams. And P and P. No muffler. so 400 should be about right.

I will say this once, Dyno's are for people who are not smart enough to build and tune an engine. We, only dynoed this last rebuild for shit and giggles. FYI, what out by eye tunning, or numbers that we used from the top of our heads, were right on the money and didn't need to be changed to increase the max output of the motor as it was right on the money. There is probally only about a small handfull of guys that put together a motor and have it right on the nose without have to change anything.

Its truly amazing, cause ford who built my buddies 302 was off by enough to make you wonder.. he dynod at 160 RWHP from a 302 with aprox 40K on it. The numbers they publish are far different. These are companies worth millions, not some guy from the far side of the GTA shooting numbers out his arse.

I just find your claims to be totally BS. Proof is in the pudding. There is NO way "you’re" that good and working in another career area, get into automotive. 1, you will spend less time on forums because you will be so busy making TONs of money, building 6 second none dyno tunes cars.

Not ONE shop out there who is competitive doesn’t use a dyno. It is by far the best tool to get the most out of your car. How many old school draggers out there have praised the invention, and you’re knocking it.

The real reason you dynod your friends Vega is because you weren’t sure how much it was making, or maybe you just had no faith in your "skills" that you claim you have.

Last i checked, every shop who has a dyno, the people who you claim aren’t smart have all gone faster than you or your buddy. They produce slips, dyno sheets, movies and pics. All we have from you is your word on a drag racing site.

Stop racing your friends Vega Bob.

You prove to me that you're better than me and a Dyno, and will honestly pay you to come with me to any drag events I go to, to help with tuning and repairs between rounds. Because if you're better than a dyno, there's no point in me wasting my money to confirm my setup.

LOL, you crack me up. Maybe you should go and check the court documents in Oshawa. You those street racing charges from over a year ago. Right there, proof vega is mine. FYI, got off of those 13 so called charges. All dropped today.

There is not one shop around that has gone faster with less money then us. When they can build a engine from what ever parts they have kicking around and get maximum performance without matching these parts, and go faster then us, ok, but until then. Let them play with their little computers that tell them how to match at cam to a crack to the piston to the air flow to the valves. When they can do it without those things, slap it together and get things bang on, then they maybe worthy to mention. Until then, they are just full of
