Is this rx7 painted white. Cause I was shootin the shitt with a buddy of mine at the shop I work at last month . We were talking about how poor my car performed at TMP . I got like a 14.35 , an some 14,4,s out of it . The car hasnt been to the strip in like 2 yrs , so that makes my bfg drags 7 yrs old. And my other tires are fragged .. Traction was non existant for the car . Layed down some blazing 2.2 60 fts. So me an buddy are talking about changing to a different carb with down leg boosters and getting some drags or hoosiers that are a little taller for next yr . Theres a kid ( 22 or so) in the shop getting his lil civic or mazda worked on . A simple job that any one that was handy could fix at home . Adjusting or replacing an alt belt IIRC.He comes over an says hey I wouldnt bother taking your car out next year. I,m like why not . He says cause my buddy has a rx7 thats got 800 hp and it,ll kill your car . I,m like thats funny i,ve been to some local races . I,ve never seen a white 800 hp rx7 an he says oh its still being built , but it,ll be done next yr . WTFever..77.

you think after such an endeavour and big power claims, they would have done a proper tranny + rear suspension. th400 isnt that hard to get under an rx7. throw a little more money at it and backhalf the thing.
and 20b's melting turbines isnt anything new. most people with a 20b are serious about power, and when youre serious, you run methanol. big power 20b cars run alcohol, its not a new concept, and it brings temperatures WAY down on the turbo rotaries.

I don't think you know who Steve is (the owner of this *supposed* high HP RX7)...

Although there are high HP claims floating around the internet... He does know his shit when it comes to rotaries...

He knows more then anyone on this forum and probably more then everyone put together...

I'm not sure what exactly the issue is with the car, and why there are wild claims coming from people about it... But from what I've seen from him in the past, he'll wake up one day with some crazy ass idea as usual and the car will work.

His old RX-7 was bitchslapping 10 sec cars on the street from what I've been told many times... so don't let this thread fool you.

I wouldn't talk smack until the car has all it's bugs worked out.

Hell Steve went to shoot out in USA with Orange RX7.
He was and has run 8s with that car. Its tubbed out back half car that is no longer that streetable.
VR he ran that old black one he had with Big red fairlane and the old man was impressed that the Steve stayed right on his ass.

No way, you can't do that. A car has to run 8's its first time at the track and it has to lay down 1200+hp on its first dyno pull or else it's trash... didn't you know that?
