Ok, if he won't I will. When the **** are you going to wake up and smell the damn coffee. Anybody with half an IQ point knows that a 302 has no problems screaming to 8500. Does it make power, maybe, maybe not. When you finally wake up and come into the reality of racing and building motors, you will understand this concept. My machine shop I deal with said I was nuts when I told them that I wanted my engine to handle 10,000 rpms. They said it won't make power that high. I told them that I didn't care. Spending an extra $1000 or so to get it that high was alot cheaper then spending money to rebuild it when you accidently misshift or knock it into neutral.
