LOOSER,CAN"T YOUR ****ING READ, ITS NOW, ON THE STREET, NOT THE TRACK WHERE FAIRIES LIKE TO RUN. SO, GO **** OFF WITH YOUR PIECE OF SHIT QUAD 4 THAT IS IN THE SHOP MORE THEN ON THE ROAD. AS FOR THE 2.4, IT HAD 15 BULLETINS THE FIRST YEAR IT WAS RELEASED, FOR THE SAME THING AS THE 2.3 DID. YOU ARE A TOTAL PATHETIC LOOSER, JUST LIKE THE OTHERS HERE.
once gaia proving you dont know a damn thing. a true z24? hah ok let me type real slow so you can understand me. from 88 - 94 the 2.8 and 3.1 were available in every single model j body car, be it the z24, sunbird gt, cavalier rs, and sunbird se, they all had the option of getting a 2.8 or 3.1 depeniding on the year. in 1995 it was a quad 4 for the z24, a low output model, in 1996 the only cars to come with a 2.4 liter, not the quad as you call it ubt rather the new twin cam, were the z24 and sunfiregt models. everything else had a base model 2.2 until late 2002 when evreything took the ecotec no matter the badging. the z24 and gt models came with better suspension, a 2.4 liter motor, and a different transmission. therefore making them the z24 and gt models. learn before you talk to me child, its clear your brain doesnt work properly and you keep showing that evreything your stupid mouth opens.
ill run that piece of shit vega but itll be on my terms and on my chosen race track. and just a news flash, the only straightaways are the ones between the turns, so bring your friends uncles sisters cousins boyfriends vega out here and try to keep up. ****
oh a few more things, the quad 4 was available in the 80's and not starting in the early 90's as you claim the quad 4 had the bullitens not the 2.4. my motor had about 240 000 km on it when a gm plug broke and took out parts of my top end, other than that the car still showed high compression on the last 3 cylinders, all in the 190 range and there was no wear o nthe bottom end at all, the headgasket hadnt gone, the coilpacks were still original, no cam issues at all, no leaks, nothing. but you know all and you keep proving this with each response you make
I think you need to check things out again, the new twin cam was not new, it was out well before you piece of shit car.

your by far the most uneducatec piece of white trash ive ever had to talk to. you should go **** your mom and blow your dad while he gives you a reach around.
ill ru nyour piece of shit friends uncles sister cousins dogs vega on the street, but itll be a twisty street. still a street race, and all you have to do is keep up to me through the turns and beat me to the finish line. so drag your piece of wood down here.
oh and to make it more fun the car has to go on a 1 hour cruise around town in stop and go traffic and pass a safety inspection by a caa approved shop to actually be classified as a street car. drag that piece of shit down here faggot
89lxstanger is right, the quad 4 was offered in a sohc version, then a dohc version as a low output, high output, w41 and the rare bilmer model, but not one has ever been refered to as a twin cam. the twin cam as its called these days is what ht equad eventually evolved to, but you can call a gm dealer and ask them and theyll tell you that its 2 different motors.
let me explain something to you mr pig ****er. the quad 4 from the mid 80's to 95 had parts that worked with evrey single one of the other models of itself. meaning the heads, cams, complete bottom end assembly, valve train, cooling and oiling parts were interchangable.
wanna know whats different between the 2.4 and any 2.3? the bore, stroke, head, cams, valves, oiling system in its entirity, many of the engines accesories. in fact to get the 2.4 head onto the 2.3 bottom end you need to redrill the oil passages on the head to have it fit the bottom end, and in that case your gonna get about 13:1 compression, whereas you could swap any head from any quad onto any quad bottom end. the bolt locations for the intact and exhaust were different between the 2.4 and 2.3 and also the port design was complatly changed. the only ismilarities are really the valve springs because gm lists them as the same part number.
so there you go moron, completely different in everyway. the 2.3 had its problems as did the 2.4, but wanna know a little secret, every car manufacturer that brings out a new or compltely rediesigned motor or car for that matter will have many recalls.
oh and as for sitting in the shop all the time, my car has never spent time in the shop. i maintain it on a regular basis and beat the piss out of it, in fact right now the car makes more than double the horsepoer that it made stock and look, no problems with it. funny how that works for such a poor motor.
then again, if you ever had a car that was actually yours and not one that you stood by while it was being built and then pretended to call your own youd maybe know a little something about cars.
so in conclusion, i leave you with this. go blow your dad

WHAT THE **** IS YOUR POINT? Dude, you are being berated by everyone here. Everyone thinks you're a moron. Can't you just shut the hell up and accept that you're wrong? This was entertaining at first, now its just annoying and frustrating.
