thats just it. look at the 10 second civics and see how much they have tied up into their cars. he doesnt realize youll need roughly 500 hp to get into the 10's depending all on weight of couse. but thats a rough number, could be less and could be alot more, comes down to the weight and combination your running. 7 grand wont even build you the motor you need to support that kind of power, lol, well it might, depending on what you go with and what you do yourself

Dude, the vega is 10 secs and is under 500hp. Civics are a 1000lbs less, so you do the math. Doesn't look like it needs much more then 350-400 hp for a civic to get into the 10's now does it.

really? i kow of a certain hatch that made 417 whp and ran mid 11's. im sure it could have gotten a low 11 out of it with some more practice. certainly not 10 seconds and it had a bit omre than the 7 grand that your talking about into it.
but at the same time as weve seen fwd cars need more hp to run what rwd cars does

Not my fault you had no clue when building it. 91 hatch, gutted, b18a turbo, Y1 tranny, fuel management, larger injectors, slicks, high 10's to low 11's. Price tag of less the $4000 for everything. Advantage, built by ourselves with the right combination and had the right driver. And all of that with the stock clutch. I will brake it down for you. Car cost $300 with blewn motor, B18a from japan auto parts $500with ECU, Tranny from same place cost $1100, Crane import ignition system $700, turbo off a GN $300, FMU $250,Venom fuel pump $700. The rest of the parts where just laying arounf or we built them. Fab our own motor brackets and used stock mounts from an Integra and used one of the integras shift rods too. Car ran on 101 octane when racing @16 psi, when on the street it could run at 12 psi on 94 octance as long as you didn't beat on it. Now Mark and some of the other book ners will argue there is no way that is could do that, but that is all that was done to the car and the car weighed in at 1800lbs without the driver. The car was built as a lark because people like that ones that run ETD and Spitfire and what not said it couldn't been done. Well it can and was done. The guy that built the car said that you are a joke and couldn't build a car if your life depended on it.He also said I should stop wasting my time even talking to you guys as you are all clueless to building a car.
