ALL the class A guys, or should I say service techs as it says on the new licence, have all those things memorised after they have done a half dozen or so engines, along with the firing orders etc. Sure, some of the newer ones might be different and not always needed to be memorised, but still, its stuff that a second year apprentice should already know.

wouldn't you have to read them to find out the spec the first time ? in order to memorize something you would have had to read it in the first place
