I don't know about every one else, but I double check head bolt and crank bolt torque specs before I reassemble any thing. Even if I've done it 10 times before. As for firing order, well I'm leaving that alone. If you don't know a 4 cyl firing order by now... And BTW a good friend of mine who has been a liscensed mechanic for 20+ years, still keeps his books on a shelf right next to his toolbox.
most guys that work on cars for a living do, ya everyone may have put heads on a particular engine 10 times but that could have been 2 years ago and since then they have done that same thing to 10 other engines 10 times each, always good to have a refernence when you need.

The only thing I may open a book for is electrical so I know what useless computer parts they have hooked up and located so I can rip them out and toss them like a 12 sec all motor honda.
