The way the zex kit works, is it comes with 2 extremely long vacum lines...one goes to the FPR and the other goes to wherever the vacum line was originally connected to the FPR. When the solenoid hits, i guess its just supposed to block the air-flow but without giving vacum leaks, which if happens, can screw EVERYTHING up.
Mayeb he did have the line disconnected all the time? I dunno... wouldnt disconnecting the line just increase the pressure all the time? I dunno...
ok quick vacuum line to dry nitrous kit lesson. lets say your car idles at 36 psi, at wot, zero hg (no vac) your gonna get lets say about 48 psi of fuel pressure. you unhook the vac line to the fpr and your getting a constant 48 psi. with the nitrou kits the vacuum line fomr the solenoid, or in the zex kit, the purple box, it put positive pressure into the for, kinda like boost, letting the presure go as high as needed. with the nos brand kit theres a seperate nitrous jet that controls that pressure. you can ith that change the amount of fuel pressure your getting when the nitrous turns on
