Well, now that i know a civic can run 10s for $7000 (including car, as per Strokerace).. i too wonder why there arent faster ones out there. 10's for $7000, unreal.

Well for one thing, who has $7000 laying around just for shits and giggles? Most of us couldn't even borrow that much let alone cough it up at once. But 7 grand for 10 seconds is impressive.

yea you will be hard pressed to make a street legal honda civic run 10.99 or faster with only $7000 invested into it....

People need to learn the long lost art of custom fabrication.

How fast does an 89 Supra with minor bolt-ons run anyway? I see a lot of Hondas atleast in the 14's when I go to Cayuga, that would probably be a close race with your car..

a $20 k&n filter, 2.75" crush bent exhaust (actually more restrictive than the stock 2.5" mandrel exhaust), $2 home depot boost controller, and BALD street radials = 14.0@100.2mph 2.3 60ft

Not bad for my second ever run at cayuga. It was a definite 13 sec. car for less than $400 in mods.

Those honda's need an engine swap to do that.

Regardless I wasn't talking about running 14's now was I, that is slow.

And no that won't be a close race with my setup now.
