You can have the bottle in the car, but if it's hooked up, you're on your own if you get pulled over. A buddy of mine got pulled over in Guelph, and they didn't give him a ticket, but they called his insurance company and told them that the car had Nos. End of policy.
Could the cops do anything if the bottle's disconnected and if the solenoid underhood is unplugged? What if you don't even carry the bottle around (IE: just for the track) but still have the system inplace?
nothing stops the police from calling your insurance company if you have a dark tint.... in other words, no. They can **** you when they feel like getting laid.

Not sure. But if the bottle is disconnected, I can't see them able to do anything. I know you can transport Nitrous in your vehicle, but I'm not sure of the amounts, or the legalities involved. I don't use nos, so I never bothered to look up the info. I would say, as long as the bottle is not connected, there should be no problem. Bottom line just don't use it on the street.
Yeah I read that you needed a sticker, but that was when TSR was still TSR.
I definetely wouldn't use it on the street, but I'd hate to get busted by having a disconnect bottle in the car by MTO setting up camp at the track where you try to race legally.
