welding a bov on.

sounds stupid eh, I've never had any parts need welding, so don't know who to ask.

but I need someone to weld the flange on the pipe, its an alloy pipe, so ugh, help a rice brother out.

alloy as in aluminum?

or aluminized steel?

If you can cut the whole yourself, take it to any exhaust shop and they can weld it. Just tell them it needs to be air tight.

Shouldn't be a problem, I did mine myself and I am by no means a "good" welder.

Yea I don't have my own welder....

I use the one at school when its not busy or I go to Toronto to use my buddies...

Take a grinder/dremel to the welds after and clean them up...Thats what I do, you can hardly see the welds at all after. Of course you will want to chamfer each edge to get propper penetration though. Any shop should be able to do it for $10 or so.

try TAG. if youre just getting the flange welded on, the hole cut, dont pay more than $50

Im sure there is someone here that could even do it for free, theres enough welders out there.

Oh, and since it is aluminum it will be harder.

You need the right gas to weld aluminum....That I can not do.

^^^ Not just the right gas... you need a TIG welder... you can't use a MIG...

Just goto a performance shop... most people there are fabricators... TAG, SEM Motorsports, Metalex, Magnus... They'll all be able to do it... and it probably won't cost much especially if u already make the hole in the pipe.
