Cant lift it? Weaksauce. Those engines are small. Take the A/C and powersteering shit off and it will be less than 300lbs with all the manifolds and such still on. Two people can lift that no problem....
An engine stand isn't needed since you dont care on the condition of it, but they are only $50 at princess auto, it will make your life so much easier so I suggest buying one.
Tools....wrenches, ratchets, sockets, pliars, breaker bar, valve spring compressor. Pretty basic tools. Buy a feeler gauge and micrometer to check clearances if you attempt to assemble it back together, just to get an idea of how to do it if you were building a real project.
