Corvette C6 Z06 does the Ring in 7:42.9!

GM had Jan Magnusson, one of the drivers of the Le Mans class-winning C6R car lap the Ring in a new Z06 C6 Corvette. He completed the ring in 7 min 42 sec equaling the Porsche 996 GT2 and beating the Pagani Zonda S, Murcielago, Gallardo, and Mercedes SLR.

Very impressive for the Corvette for sure!

Oh I disagree. I have a video of an M3 GTR Race car on the Ring, with I beleive Hans Stuck driving. I have that same car in the game, and played the vid at the same time as the replay, and they were very very close. The Suzuka circuit F1 race lap times are only .1 seconds faster or slower than real F1 times at that track. The only thing I find really off is the 1/4 mile. The 1976 GTi (rabbit) with a turbo charger, all mods, and nos will only do 14.1 where as my own personal best with my turboed rabbit is 12.36. As to the other circuits, I'm not sure about, like Sarthe.
The only times I disagree with on the Ring is my own personal best of 5 min 54.354 sec in a Mazda 787B. I would pay to see the real car do that time. That was with the turbo done fully, etc. But yeah I think that time is unrealistic in real life. Some kid has posted a vid of him doing the ring in under 5 min with an F1 car, but that had to be a bitch. I can't even keep that car on the track.
