Only if Honda keeps it efficient like its 4cyl's and s2000. Im sure Honda will put a lot of R&D into that kinda build....but I havent heard about them coming out with a V8 (but I'd sure as hell like to see it).

i have seen it and seen the numbers, they are not sure what car they are gonna use it in, either a current car or new model, 4.0L 520hp thats all i have to say....

^If it makes that kind of jam, then only BMW could keep up with that HP per L...

However, how much will that cost??

If it makes that kind of power @ that displacement it's only going into a Sports car... and that's it (like the next NSX or so). It'll never go into a mainstream production saloon car. I don't think Honda is in the market to compete with BMW's M5...

Should be interesting to see what they do with it, and if it holds tho's specs when it's released tho!

actually they were looking to go after the bmw's with it i can't find the artical, it was in the toronto star a long time ago, they were thinking of an accord like platform ... but i guess we will see

HP only means how much torque you're making at the upper part of your power band.

Sounds vague, eh? That's because it is.

What makes a car fast is how broad the torque curve is, especially on the top end.
Most cars, especially stock-ish domestic engines, drop off sharply on the upper end.

Somehow I highly doubt that they'll build something like the M5 and go after BMW... as Honda/Acura's only strong market is North America...

Unlike the M series, BMW ///M's are very popular throughout the world... Honda will never be able to do that.. IMO...

And besides, if it was a long time ago that you seen it.. It's probably not gonna happen... As I haven't heard/read anything about it anywhere.. and it's usually plastered somewhere on the net if Honda were to do something like that (high HP NA V8).
