i don't think you would make 200 with a stock bottom end and stock head and cams but you could try....

My buddies type R makes 186 whp on our mustang dyno at work.. which is 18% less then a dyno jet reads. stock internals, msd and hondata. if your looking for numbers like that, id recommend just sticking with a type R

I'm pretty sure you can get "factory honda piston" styles same compression and material and such just on larger bores...i was reading somewhere thats what i reccommended PR3's there are better pistons out there like JE SRP etc...to achieve the 200 whp you need about 11:1 comp nice bolt on's and a good ecu tune like UBERDATA or HONDATA or something along those lines...tuned correctly its possible not with the B20 factory pistons due to too low of a compression ratio

you can't do that with the b20 there pistons are a different bore then all other b-series you can interchange pistons with all other b-series motors

I know the bore is different what im saying is AFTERMARKET company makes Exact replica pistons just oversized bore and such thats what i meant just worded it incorrectly

type -r 's are nice but a built b20vtec will destroy it in similar cars.

built b20vtec's can easily put out 210 whp plus. just go on honda tech and see for urself.

the motor makes lots of torque. plus evolution type - r y would u compare the stock it - r motor to a stock b20 when what u wanna build is a b20 vtec ?

that motor is in a class of it's own.

everyone is going k series this k series that which don't get me wrong is a bad ass motor but i still think right now a good b20 vtec would give a k series hatch a good run for it's money.

if u wanna do it a lil cheaper get a b18a/b block and bore it out to 84.5 mm. there is ur b20. b20 are kinda hard to come by compared to a Ls block. plus the b20 is the same block as a Ls it's just bored out from factory.


there are tons of guys running very quick with b20vtec and Lsvtecs. shant on this site make lots of power and mark also runs very quick.
