I've never heard of Honda's having a fuel cut switch like most domestics have...

Check to see if u have fuel and spark... and go from there...

What book did you read and what was the sensor called?

I have seen this thing happen before but was a shitty ground that was the problem and was detached when knocked. Check all grounds and make sure they are still firm and that they are making contact with steel.
