Top 10 Reasons Intel will not Participate in the Dual-Core Duel:
10. Tried to follow their own roadmap to get to the duel
9. Decided to take the "front-side bus" to the duel; got stuck in a bottleneck
8. The "Intel Inside" stickers they used to package the cores together keep melting
7. Too busy rearranging the deck chairs on the Itanic
6. "Hey, we don't expect anyone to actually buy these things!"
5. Didn't want to compete when they realized that the duel would involve actual "rules" of fair competition
4. They couldn't get a permit from the fire department to emit that much heat
3. No systems available yet - protective clothing used by manufacturers only safe for up to 149 watts
2. Dell told them they weren't allowed to participate
And the number one reason Intel won't accept the dual core duel:
1. Moore's Law has been replaced by "Paul's Paradox": the number of canceled products per year at Intel will double every year after the introduction of the AMD Opteron processor.

Well, AMD shouldnt get to c0cky. They may be king now, but they werent for a long time. Im sure intel will be hard at work to de-throne them.
But in a market where majority look at price before quality (not that amds suck) people will buy AMD. Intel needs to drop the price and provide a faster / better chip.
Nice top 10 list, i bet some people at Intels office chuckled at it but know they have to do something.
Intel lost their edge, they cater to the OEM market, and sadly enough, they've seem to acknowledged it. It's pathetic. AMD can stay on top if they don't take some lucrative deal from Compaq and just sit back and start bean counting.
It's almost as if Intel thinks that, as long as they make a product with the same features as AMD, theycan just sit back and let their marketing machine make the sales for them without having to actually compete!
Haha, that's funny. It takes AMD years to finally get to the point they're at, and then they pretend like there was no competition in the first place. Pretty funny to read though
All the top manufacturers will keep swapping "first place" every few years once they have a technological advance. This hasn't changed and I doubt it ever will..
