You wouldn't believe how many of these new parts never make it to the Computer store, theiving warehouse workers

The reason I don't have an opteron, is because beggers can't be choosers. I will sell this chip when the opterons are available (supposed to be End of november, early december @ infonec.)

BTW - Does anybody want an X850XT PE for $300? AGP. $100 off retail, and used for maybe 2 days.

I want it! But i cant give u the money right now...****ing reality and life responsibilities...if sum 1 else wants it before i can give the money by all means but i would def. love that card, would go good on my Neo 2 platinum system...

In testing, so far, 2.87GHZ per core max on the CPU full load @ 42 with junk thermal paste (generic), I want to get it stable there and leave it, but I think I have a bad stepping, I need to do a lot more tweaking. And the X1800XT is an insane overclocker.

The core is running at 690MHZ the memory is running at 1600MHZ... stock cooling for now.

That's a crazy OC for the card! nice!

BTW, have u heard of the ceramic paste they have? I her it's better and has no set time unlike the normal thermal paste... I dunno where u can get it tho...

Ceramic paste is no better...

Ive got a tube of Arctic Silver 5...i find its the best stuff...

Lowered my temps in excess on 5 degrees celcious.

Arctic Ceramique and Arctic silver 5 seem to have similar temps. AS5 is what I use, but I need to buy it buy the gallon i go through it so fast.

I put AS5 on everything, Northbridge, southbridge, Cpu, Vpu .... basically anything with a heatsink, and i do it on every single computer I build.

no the silver content is too high... 99%.

But, Vantec Thermal paste is awesome, tastes like mayo.
